Who this is for

The returns we prepare

For clients whose books we already keep, people in and around Teaneck, and anyone a client sent our way.

  • Employees with a W-2

One job or a few, plus the usual extras like a mortgage, student loan interest or a child.

  • Freelancers and side income

1099 work, a Schedule C, and the expenses that go with it.

  • Single-member LLC owners

A US-owned LLC taxed as a disregarded entity, reported on your own 1040.

  • Existing Soarx clients

If we already keep your books, the return is built from them. Nothing to re-send.

Non-US owner of a US LLC? That's a different filing: see Form 5472.

What we need from you

The paperwork you already get in the mail

    W-2s, 1099s (NEC, MISC, INT, DIV, B, K), and any K-1s.

  3. 03

1098 mortgage interest, property tax, childcare, education, charity.

  4. 04

    Business figures

Please don't send these by ordinary email. We'll give you a secure upload link after the call.

Limits

What we don't do

More on our disclosures page.

  • Promise a refund or a refund amount. What you get back depends on what you earned and what was withheld. You see the numbers before we file.
  • Represent you before the IRS in an audit, collection or appeal. Qeihan is a tax return preparer, not a CPA or Enrolled Agent. If it comes to that, you'd need a CPA, an Enrolled Agent or a tax attorney.
  • Prepare New York returns. We don't prepare New York returns at the moment.

New York residents: we don't prepare New York returns at the moment. We can still prepare your federal return.

FAQs

What people ask before tax season

From $225 for the year. The final fee depends on what's in the return, like a Schedule C, rental income or more than one state. You get it in writing before we start.

April 15 for most people. Filing Form 4868 gives you until October 15 to file, but any tax owed is still due in April, so an extension doesn't push back the payment.

If tax isn't withheld from your income, like freelance or LLC profit, and you expect to owe $1,000 or more, the IRS expects payments during the year, usually in April, June, September and January. We can work out the amounts for you. It's optional.

New Jersey, yes. For any other state, ask us first. We don't prepare New York returns at the moment.

Ask on the call and we'll tell you whether we take it on.

No. A single-member US LLC owned by a non-US person files Form 5472 with a pro forma 1120, which is its own filing. (US citizens living abroad with a US LLC usually report it on their own 1040, so this page is the right one.) See Form 5472 filing, or run the LLC check.

No. Qeihan is a tax return preparer with an IRS PTIN. He prepares, signs and files your return. He doesn't represent clients before the IRS.
