What we aim for
This site should work for people using a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, browser zoom or high contrast settings.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We haven't had an independent audit yet, so we don't claim full conformance.
What we have done
The old site had text that was hard to read, including light links on dark navy. We rebuilt the colors for this version and use a darker orange for any orange text on a light background, aiming for the 4.5 to 1 contrast ratio WCAG asks for on normal text.
Body text is at least 15px, and pages reflow when you zoom in, so text doesn't get cut off.
Links, buttons and form fields can be reached with the Tab key, and the one in focus gets a clear orange outline.
Every field on the site's forms has a label that screen readers announce.
If your device is set to reduce motion, the site's small animations switch off.
Pages work on a narrow phone screen without scrolling sideways.
What we know still needs work
The booking calendar on our book a call page is run by Calendly, and we can't change how it works. If it gives you trouble, email or phone us and we will book the call for you.
Our darker orange measures about 4.3 to 1 on the light grey sections, just under the 4.5 to 1 target. It is on our list to fix.
Tell us about a problem
